Our Mission
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Florida Museum for Women Artists is to identify and promote women artists and educate the public about women in the arts.
Board Overview and Makeup:
The Florida Museum for Women Artists is a 501(c)(3) organization. The Board of Directors represent regional areas of the State and will include non profit, museum, arts, finance, fundraising and legal experienced individuals.
The Facility:
The Florida Museum for Women Artists is the only museum in the state of Florida and the southeast United States to provide art and other artistic disciplines exclusively by women artists. The museum exhibits contemporary art, collections, and traveling exhibits from quality institutions.
The Florida Museum for Women Artists includes three galleries, Museum Shop, Cafe, meeting /lecture room, and curatorial area. The 7,000 square foot museum is located on the second floor of the historic Fish Building, 100 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand, Florida.
Location:
The Florida Museum for Women Artists is located in historic downtown DeLand. DeLand is the cultural epi-center for the west corridor of Volusia County, and is located in central east Florida within 1 hour of Orlando, 1.5 hours of Jacksonville, and 3 hours from south Florida areas.
